Hi Would be possible to upgrade a JAL Economy ticket to Business on the day of the departure. Sometimes, there were unsold business class seat on the day of departure and the airlines offer them for a price at the airport's check in counter. Anyone had that experience recently.

There seems to be no direct flight from Melbourne to Narita on Premium Economy. Departing in Aug, Sept and Oct. However, there are economy and business flying directly.

I really hate the new PE seat footrest. The fully supported leg section was what made it comfortable for long haul. The footrest/net I found really uncomfortable. I have not seen any other criticism.
