Afternoon, I excitedly booked a Sir Lankan business reward ticket to Mumbai via Colombo from Sydney with Qantas points. The dates worked out perfectly.

My only concern is the one hour transit time at Colombo Airport, both ways. I have transited Colombo before, but there was 2-3 hours.

Does anyone have experience of short transit at Colombo (and what Sri Lankan Airlines does if you miss the transit)?

Thanks in advance.

It's an air-side transit. With security done at the gate. Similar to Singapore.

So one hour, if the incoming flight is on time, should be doable. Just.

It might not be so great if you arrive at a bus gate. Maybe inform the crew if your incoming flight is running a bit late? So you can get off ASAP?

I'm not sure how quick any checked baggage can be...

No need to worry if on a single ticket - like all full service carriers, if you’re late on a ticketed connection, UL will rebook you on the next flight.

Thanks @muppet .

Thanks @muppet . I guess my concern is the infrequency of flights from Colombo to Sydney. (There are 4 a week).

I wont have checked luggage to make it easier.
