1 One Saver - Stopover only $100 per Pax!

Hi guys,

Don't know if everyone is aware of this, but you can add a stopover to a one way saver for the fee of only $100US. I did a bit of research on the matter previously, and a lot of people believed the only way to do this is to book 2 x 1 way saver fares (A lot more points are needed). The other option was to pay a fee of 10 000 points.

I called today, and to my surprise they only wanted $100US per pax to add a stopover.

This seemed like a great deal for me as otherwise I would have had to book HKG-SIN (22 875 x 2 - 15% discount included) and SIN-PER (27 625 x 2 15% discount included) which would cost a grand total of 102 000. By paying the $100x2 fee, I only had to redeem 65 000 (HKG-SIN stop - PER) points for the same itinerary! I tried to get the 15% discount, but the agent wouldn't allow it.

All in all I'm pretty happy! I saved 37 000 points for another day and it "only" costed $200

So can you confirm you booked online and then rang up to change the second leg?

No, I called and did the whole booking over the phone. You cannot book a 1 way saver online and add a stopover.

I got the same flight HKG-PER via SIN. Cant get a380 on the HKG-SIN :+

I got the A380 in J for 2!
But I had to book 300 days out haha

I got to try the A380 J cabin last year during my FRA-JFK leg. I couldn't get over how wide the seats were. They weren't joking when they said they had the widest business class seats in the world!

Only thing I found difficult was sleep diagonally. The seat was flat as which was great, but that diagonal thing annoyed me a little!

The seat really is wide, which is why they have that little bumper to fill in the space.

They make the other seats look so small.

Might have to try this as this would outway the 15% discount if you need a stopover.

To drag up an old thread, anyone had any luck getting the operator to honour 15% online discount as well?

No it is one or the other. This method IMO outweighs the 15% saving.

If you work it out as 2 One-Way savers both with 15% Vs a direct One-Way Saver flight exclusind the 15% and paying the $100 stopover. Work out the point difference for your routeas the first poster in this thread showed.

Thats Early. Got a J Redemption in A380 for early Jan. Cannot seem to book another J redemption online. May be I should try ringing them to try my luck as I need another J redemption to join the family.
