Interesting new promo received by email:

We have a limited time offer just for you. Transfer your credit or charge card reward points to Qantas Points* by 14 December 2024 and you could earn 1 bonus Status Credit for every 5,000 Qantas Points transferred, up to 100 bonus Status Credits.~

It's easy to do, simply register for the offer below then visit the points transfer page of your credit or charge card provider's website. You can also call the number on the back of your card and ask to transfer.

Hurry, offer ends 14 December 2024. Transfer today to take advantage of this exclusive offer.

Was going to transfer some points to maintain PCP anyway, so might as well take some bonus SC.

Any hints on where the email is from? QF or the card provider and which one?

Quite rare to see a SC earning promo like that. Not that it will make a significant difference at 5000:1.

From Qantas directly. Email: [email protected]

T&Cs show a likely trigger:
* We are sending you this offer as you have transferred reward points earned on a credit or charge card to Qantas Points in the past. Card products referred to are not Qantas products and are not offered or issued by Qantas but by the relevant Card Partners. The applicable Card Partner is the credit provider and credit licensee under the National Consumer Credit Protection laws, where relevant. The applicable Card Partner pays Qantas in respect of Qantas Points issued in relation to a Card. Credit or charge card reward points are offered by the relevant Card Partner and their reward program and accrue in accordance with the relevant Card Partner’s reward program terms and conditions. You must be enrolled in the applicable reward program to transfer credit or charge card reward points to Qantas Points. Minimum thresholds and other restrictions (such as number of transfers in a particular period) may apply. Qantas Points may only be transferred into the individual Qantas Frequent Flyer account of the cardholder. Qantas Points transferred into a Qantas Business Rewards account are not eligible to receive bonus Qantas Points. Once credit or charge card reward points are transferred to Qantas Points they are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions (available at qantas.com/terms) and cannot be reversed.

Not particularly lucrative. I think I’ll wait for one of the 15-25% bonus offers before transferring. good for those intending to transfer and are short of SCs

Interesting no exclusions…. I was expecting it to say doesn’t count for Lifetime or P1… but there’s no mention

The 100 SC cap makes the difference to P1/LTG fairly negligible so I guess it's not too surprising.

Although even without the cap I reckon Qantas would happily give someone a year of P1 for an 18m point transfer.

I received the email. It’s not very clear what happens if you transfer a few batches of points.

Unless you're a few SC short for status, I can't really see this offer moving the needle for most people.
Yep, it’s orders of magnitude less than FBs spend to VFF SC earn and that’s capped at 120 SCs PA.

I love a good opportunity to boost the SC balance, but 100 SC for 1 million Ascent Premium points is something else.

I agree.

Though it is an interesting offer because it represents a further nudge towards tying status to credit card spend. Along with Points Club & offering SCs as part of a credit card sign-up bonus a few years back, it is an area Qantas continues to experiment with.

I got that offer maybe 3/4 years ago, and transferred around 50000 Amex points to earn around 10 status credits.

Unfortunately I haven't got an email this time, as I would happily do the same again. I know it is only a small number of status credits, but every status credits helps towards the distant lifetime gold target.

Has there been any bonus transfer offers in the last 2 years?

Yeah I clicked register and transferred over a few hundred thousand points - waiting the 8 weeks to see if it worked.
