10,000 QFF points for spending $500 on AMEX Ultimate - Targeted

Nothing here - just the usual "spend $xx_ at xx_x get $x back" type of offers.
But then I do currently use the AMEX QF Ultimate quite heavily - so no incentive for AMEX to incentivise!!

Regards,

BD

Rec'd on wife's QF Ultimate......lucky she is tardy with the closure part of churning

Got the offer on my QF Ultimate, they also sent me an email yesterday at 8:30am to tell me about the deal. Not sure who they're trying to target with this, my monthly spend is consistently many times the required total spend, not complaining tho 😀

I got it on my Qantas Amex but not my Westpac one - money for jam really. I thought it had to be $500 in one transaction when I first read it

So did I until I read further here. Seems very sweet! Now, what will Inspend the $10,000 I am going to get from spending $500!

I got the offer, but within the next three months I'm due to get a $9K refund on my Amex from a cancelled Qantas flight. This means over that period my net spend will likely be LESS than $500. Would I still get the 10,000 points I wonder?

Ask for the $9k to be transferred back to you once it hits your account.

Thanks for the response. Not entirely sure that would work. I guess it depends on whether Qantas looks at the total NET spend on the credit card over the three months. If they do, I'd have to spend at least $9500 to qualify for the 10,000 points.

I'll already be taking a 9,000 point hit (actually more because the fare was paid on a card that attracts 2+ point per $1 spent on Qantas products) on account of the refund, ie my points balance will go down by that much. So if there is still a way of getting the 10,000 points to help mitigate that hit, that would be useful.

My AMEX has had a negative balance for a while now with many airline refunds. I spent the $500 earlier this week and the 10,000 points have just posted to my account. So the offer is not based on a positive balance. Of course if your account is also more than 10,000 points in the red, then this offer will simply help bringing back your statement point balance closer to 0.

F/U - made the $500 spend in the first day of the promotion, email triggered same day, points credited to account 4 days later.

Mine credited two days after breaching the spend limit.

The Offer is no longer showing in my offers tab where it was previously after i saved it. Hmmm. Perhaps it has been pulled?
