10,000 travellers lose APEC Card

Mine expired in Sept - had interim Card issued mid last month with 15 approvals I think - but not China which I really wanted.

Had to get 12mth multiple entry visa for China - but still flashed APEC card to use APEC channel both into and out of Shanghai last week - nobody batted an eye lid.

As I have posted before I have no doubt these changes really are to just weed out the 'tourists' - if you can genuinely substantiate business need / usage of APEC I don't think you will have a problem.

Yes, I won't have a problem, they asked for evidence substantiating travel to APEC economies, no problem on that score, I am giving them the 6 they have space for - all within a 3 week period. In the previous criteria I was going to have a challenge getting around the exclusion of those in company "support functions" (could have perhaps got around this with some creative writing, but one colleague in similar situation had several back and forths before finally approved), but now that exclusion is gone, it should make it much easier.

My main need is Indonesia - the visas on arrival are consuming passport pages waytoo quickly, for China have already got another 12 month multiple entry so it's OK.
