10 Bonus point per $1 when booking with Hotelclub

I'm currently in "discussion" with Amex over missing points for this promotion.

Has a strange feeling of deja vu about it.

Hi As the promotion is 10 points after 350 spend.. Is there anyway to join different hotel booking together so don't have to lose the first 350 each time.

Also, is it only for room stays in Australia? Cheers

You don't lose the first $350, you just have to spend $350 or more and then you get 10 bonus points per $1 in TOTAL starting from $1

Valid for stays anywhere in the World

A related question, as I have never not booked directly with a hotel before (for a brand name hotel such as Hilton/Starwood etc)

Do you still earn Starwood Points or HHonors points etc when booking through a 3rd party ? I am assuming no!

Most hotel reward programs require that you book direct through them although I have heard people earn HHonors points on Travelzoo bookings but not through Hotel Club bookings.

My point was credited before my stay with the hotel. (My card get charged as soon as I booked it.)

So Amex only knows the date HotelClub charges your account, your stay is simply irrelevant. I wonder how the refund works :evil:

I have read it for any stay as long as you book before 31st December.

Not happy at all with the customer service from Hotel Club. I have emailed them 4 times and the answer given is not even to the question I have asked.

I hope nothing goes wrong with my bookings as the customer service I had received
BEFORE I was even a customer/client/make a booking was disgusting!

Hmm. Interesting. T&C's make no mention of using a specific site (I didn't) but this would seem to be the mode that Hotel Club commonly use for their promotions.

If you did not book through the promo portal I doubt you will get the 10 points as Hotel Club (like Amex) often have different promos running at the one time.

T&C does not mention restrictions though (so you may havea case to try and dispute it). But if not done through the portal there would be no way they would know that you wanted the promo, and I am doubting that they would just give ito everone in this case.
