10 million points giveaway - and a 15% bonus points transfer offer in November?

I was holding out for this till november with fingers crossed, and the fact ANZ were giving me 25% bonus on all points earned the last 3 month now perfect timing for me, my anz black annual fee is due November so transfer and cancel!

I am most of the time, very pro-Singapore Airlines, however it all depends on what you want to do with your points as there can be specific awards which are much better on different programs. For example, Sydney to Los Angeles is 94,000 velocity + around $100 in taxes; 94,000 converts to around 69,230 Kris Flyer points; Sydney to Los Angeles (via SIN,NRT) is 80,000 Kris Flyer plus $700 in taxes. Thus you are much better off here to use Velocity points and go direct to Los Angeles, you will be $600 and ~13,500 velocity points better off.

Yes i agree with your example here but i was more commenting on the thoughts of buzzard above. The other point is with the J seats virtually non existent some may have to look at the SQ option to North America.

Although, it makes the EY option look very nice in any case with this transfer to velocity. I guess this is starting to be a choice of availability rather than the best value for some

Try at 330 day's but keep your eye out at around 300, mainly Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays ...

It's better than it used to be before 18 July. Anyhow 2 ANZ rewards per dollar on ANZ black VISA 1$=1VA on black visa, $1=1.5 VA on black Amex

The bonus points posted as soon as the transferred points show up in velocity (ANZ card).

Yea, didnt see any bonus for AMEX. And at the transfer page, it says 1:1 but i assume the text wouldn't change, as the screen prior had the 15% statement.

I originally thought the same. But when they reversed the decision to cut the value rate I thought I would transfer now as better safe than sorry as the devaluation was 25% Citibank backs down on changes to credit card frequent flyer rates - Australian Business Traveller
