Received a "bonus surprise" offer by email
Up to 100% extra points when buying. Full bonus from 59k points up to 150k. Think will pass. Exchange rates not favourable these days

Mine was 80%

What is the other work around method to buying points for IHG?
Points and pay (you’re effectively buying the additional points usually at a substantial discount). If you have to cancel, you get the total back as points.

I bought these at 0.5 cents US and used a US Amex to run up some Kris Miles.
Oh, I would have thought that stays were best use of those - unless you needed to top up KF for a particular redemption?

Yes i went 300,000 to IHG and 3,000 Kris Miles off the credit card that are warehoused. Had some currency @ 0.7350 so it hurt a little less.
The Intercontinental in Adelaide is quite nice. and We like the Crowne Plaza in Singapore Changi.

Ah! I thought you might have been buying and then converting IHG -> KF. (something like 10,000 -> 2,000?). That would have been expensive KF miles.

This promotion on again.

300,000 IHG points for USD2500 (~AUD3500) seems like poor value when you can purchase 10,000 IHG points for ~AUD60 on points + pay?

Mystery offer is back again (check your in box). Mines 100% bonus again until 29 Dec.

Max of 500,000 pts for USD$2,500 (~A$3,727).

I received another 100% bonus offer and was expecting to pass it by, but ended up rebooking an upcoming trip as a points trip and saved a small amount of money in the process by buying the points

I bought some points this time as my offers are usually 80%. 100% was a better deal. I think it may be a targeted offer?
