Loved following your journey.
One question. On the Canadian visa page it says you don't need an eTA if arriving by ship.We just worry when we fly out as we will be disembarking in Quebec and flying out from either Montreal or Toronto.Did you get an eTA anyway?

I already had an eTA from a visit last year so I can't relate a first hand experience. However, our first Canadian port was Corner Brook and some people were worried that they did not have eTAs. However, none were called for face to face interviews so I would be fairly sure that the website is still accurate. However, if you want to avoid any worry it is only CAD7 and lasts 5 years so not a lot of harm is done by getting one.
