Email today - Avis - we try harder

Add a GPS to your profile with avis and get 1000FF points with QFF.

My reading is it's not dependant on actually renting - just having it in your profile (by Sept 30).

You can still unclick it if you go to rent (usual price $9.95/day) and dont want one.

Got the same email a few hours ago but I've forgotten my wizard no and can't log on to change my profile. I clicked on "forgot your wizard number" and it asked for my CC number. I can't remember how many CCs I've had since I signed up to Avis in 2003. I've tried 4 previous no's with no success. I guess I'll have to make a phone call on Monday. Can't let 1,000 points go begging.

Thanks for that, entered all details and was advised the following...

Always good to get some bonus points every now and then :p

No email for me and I have a wizard number as well. Could be a bit of a delay receiving the email. Never say no to 1,000 QFF points for free....

You won't get the email if your Avis profile has noted to not send out promotional emails.

You don't need to wait for the email. Just use the link provided at #1. I've just re-joined as per lovetravellingoz's suggestion and I've also signed up MrsP -- 2,000 points, Thank you very much Avis.

I get regular promotional emails from Avis and Budget. Maybe I did not take any notice of this email....

Got the email, and filled in the form. Now to wait for the points to arrive.

(Wonder when my profile ill be updated to reflect adding the GPS!)

I've just signed up and eagerly await the points. The site did say 4 weeks. ;)

For the points. Was wondeirng when the selection would be in my Wizard profile. It's not there yet, so I guess they will process them all in a batch sometime.

Ok I now understand. I just looked and mine has not changed yet. (... and they have had 6 hours already)

Once again the value of this site is endorsed...

FWIW i signed up for myself and then signed up for MrsGurio but alas i couldnt do it properly as they didnt recognise my FF number, im assuming because its already in my profile so cant be used for hers... oh well, at least it saves me a flight to MEL or ADL...

I had the same issue for both myself and SWMBO; I had to change the frequent flier number each time.

For me it was from 06xx_xx to 6xx_xx; Thinking I had it sussed, I omitted the leading zero for SWMBO but had to change hers from 7xx_xx to 07xx_xx.

In the end, registration was successful.

Go figure ...

Was told to get a wizard number a long time ago and I never did it.

With this heads-up... i just signed up and bagged myself 1k points in the process.

Thanks guys!

I finally received the email this morning. I can't change my profile as I don't remember my Avis wizard number. I signed up last year but it was done manually and not on the internet. I have sent Avis an email for them to advise me of my wizard number. I hope that comes through soon.
