Avis' Wizard system is obviously working well .

We all seem to have one but few of us can even remember our number.

I got a temporary card and the lady said to me I will get a proper card in the mail after 3 rentals. This never happened but is still recognised my details everytime I entered them. I haven't hired a card from Avis for a while, so have not needed wizard number, as Budget and Hertz have been cheaper on the days I needed to hire a car.

I changed my profile last Friday night (18th)
Arrived in Perth Sunday afternoon and had to verbally request a Garmin GPS to get one. The AVIS girl mentioned that you need to book one with your booking as the profile does not allocate you one .

I found mine on my Avis Preferred card. It was also listed on all my rental confirmations. Not too hard to find if you actually use the things occasionally. I probably only average 3 rentals a year.

I looked at the rental confirmation and did not notice the wizard number. I think it requires a closer inspection.

I've had no luck signing up. Have tried putting a 0 and 00 on front, but no go; looks like a phone call will have to be made.

Got the email, and filled in the form. Now to wait for the points to arrive.

(Wonder when my profile ill be updated to reflect adding the GPS!)

Well, my profile has now been updated from my form filling exercise. Now just to wait for the 1,000 points to show up :)

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

SWMBO and I received (unimpressive) cards last week; awaiting the 1K in QFF. ;)

I got the card end of last week like most people but no QFF points yet....

I wouldn't expect the points to land until after the close of the promotion (Sept 30)

I would expect them to stick with what they said:

"Thank you for adding the Avis GPS portable unit to your profile!
Please allow approximately 4 weeks for points to be credited to your account.
