Sydney Airport online checkin - do I still need to go to checkin desk?

As the title says - am flying tonight on EK413 out of Sydney for Dubai and I was able to do an online checkin on the Emirates website. Am only doing carry-on baggage.

So - do I just go to security check and to the gate? Or would I still need to go to the checkin desk for verfication/bag weigh or something? Have travelled for years and feel like one is always required to "show face" before an intl flight?

Welcome to posting, @Macster !

As above, you'll be able to swan up to security/Border Force directly, leaving more time for better things.
Generally speaking, if they required you to "show face" then the boarding pass wouldn't have been issued at the OLCI stage.

If you have a online check in completed then its usually fine. They will sight your passport, but likely at boarding.
