The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Flying ICN-SYD on JQ in business class (not a business max fare) and wanted to know whether I'd be able to access the Oneworld lounge in ICN. I have platinum status with QF.

I'd assume no considering I'm not flying on a Oneworld airline but I note this paragraph from this article - https://www.executivetraveller.com/review/oneworld-seoul-icn-lounge

In addition, Qantas tells Executive Traveller that Qantas Club members “will be eligible for the Oneworld lounge if they are travelling on a Jetstar or Qantas operated flight.”

So not sure whether on top of QC members they will also allow gold and platinum members access.

I don't think you can, as per below.

I've booked with AC to YVR via Sydney departing Brisbane, AC booked me onto a Qantas flight for the domestic leg, will they check my luggage all the way through and will I be able to use their terminal transfer service?

Yes.
Yes. Keep the boarding pass/ baggage cardboard slip QF give you. Have seen QF staff ask for that at SYD T3 gate 15
If a paid flight BNE SYD will be able to credit to QF or oneworld ffp
