Hello Everyone,
I'd like to reach out here hoping to get some insights or guidance on how what could be the ideal way to redeem miles.
Here's the context, I'm planning to travel to Europe with my wife later this year. It is likely that we will do SYD-MUC outbound and FCO-SYD inbound.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough miles for business class on all legs (short of 60k). Initial thought was to do:
SYD-SIN premium
SIN-MUC business
FCO-SIN premium
SIN-SYD economy
However, I learnt that you cannot redeem mix class. Unless, I do separate bookings.
Hard for me to see earning 60k additional miles in a short time, so is separate bookings the only way to go here? Or is there any other clever way I am missing?
Also, if it's separate booking, will I need to collect my luggage in Singapore before checking-in to my "connecting" flight?
I'd appreciate your insights!
