Last Thursday I left Sydney for Perth on a Qantas flight scheduled to depart at 10am (via Melb).

I arrived in Perth at 5.45pm Perth time.

The flight back last Saturday departed 11.40pm (via Melb) and I got back to Sydney 11.10am Sydney time.

On 2 occasions (1 Syd and 1 Melb) all passengers were asked to leave the plane while Qantas found a replacement airplane - both of the problem aircraft were 767's.

To add insult to injury the Qantas lounge staff member was a total cough.

I had approached one staff member at the desk to ask if it would be possible be placed on the 10am flight to Sydney as I had to be back for a special engagement which commenced at 1.30pm and before I had an answer another member of the Qantas team told me to 'relax and wait in the lounge until a PA announcement was made'.

Worst service situation I have ever come across while flying with Qantas!!

Very disappointed.

I rang Qantas to let them know about this Qantas staff member and I honestly got the feeling I was talking to a carer from a Government help line!

Not happy Jan :(

love the take-off power in the QF 767s, hate the breakdowns :(

Frustrating isn't it. I've found that, of late, QF have been pretty poor at accommodating during service disruptions (that they cause). I've been left stuck a few times now.

If it was me I would have been ringing the call centre and requesting to change my flights.

If no luck I would ring the call centre an asked to speak to a supervisor.
