I worked out that if I had credit one particular year to QF rather than AA I would have racked up 6K+ SCs... However the extra mile value on AA at that time was much better in the long run for me.

Today I booked online for USD895 a 520 SC run.

There's lots similar to this (although maybe not of such a good SC earning rate) if you are look at journeys between USA and central/South America or the Caribbean.

Is this the international one to central america from lax?? ;)

ok... i edited my post, could you do the same :p

The run I had in mine *used* to be available cheaply. It is no longer available (It's around $700USD return now for 240 SC's, so not great value).

The good ones I won't post on here:)

Actually, the origin/destination posted by somebol could generate 600SC's for USD840 - not shabby at all!

..and if you choose a different set of connecting cities, I was able to find a routing that earns 660 SCs for ~ AUD1200. Very nice value!

That is a lot better than my 720 SC for ~ AUD2,900. But still I was happy with it, and it took me to a new place in the USA that I wanted to go to.

wow this thread is pretty impressive. I thought i was doing alright with my 200sc's for $935

Will keep an eye on stuff like this, i'm determined to crack at least silver this "year"

Probably best to drop serfty a message rather than ask on here. We don't want the AA people getting too wise to what we do, although i'm sure they're aware of people like us:)
Couldn't give a stuff about the AA people it is what QF does that worries me.

The continued discussion in these type of threads could potentially stuff things up for others in a couple of ways. One is QF will wise up and change the QFF earning table so that AA KUPPs/QUPPs earn economy or discount economy SCs or secondly increase the SCs required for each status level.

The second option would make life extremely difficult for someone earning status the hard way....

Runs like that are how I will manage to achieve WP this year for the first time.
I hope they remain available - I have lots of travelling I'd like to do in the next couple of years to take advantage of my new WP status.
