CAD offer is good! AUD offer it would be cheaper with some of the QF wine deals… $320 for 18k points… enough for a QF J class on some of the trunk routes out of sydney

Yes, often some great deals on QF Wine (but rarely advertised - so need to look from time to time).

But if you’re after Avios then any deal is worth exploring (especially if based in Oz).

CAD offer is indeed good...if anyone has a UK Amex card, there's currently a (presumably widespread) Amex offer for £60 back on £189 on the economist, which makes it conveniently £129, or the equivalent of around CA$209. I don't often jump on these, but that price for Avios is pretty good (15k, UK based digital subscription, had to use a VPN to get it to work though).

Should just work, esp with Amex who don’t bother with address verification. That said, I did use an overseas CC.

How did you pay for this - I've selected 'Canada' as my location from the top right drop down, but when I go to pay it only lets me select Canadian addresses for my billing address?

That’s logical. If you’re using an Amex, just stick in any address, Amex don’t use address verification. I did use an Amex, but it was a UK Amex so non issue either way.

In saying all of this...am hoping it is still valid. I signed up and it asked for my Avios account number, so hopefully that implies it is. But I can't see any T&Cs anywhere, and this link says offer ends 31 March (https://www.britishairways.com/travel/2023-q1-the-economist/execclub/_gf/en_au).
Can anyone give me some confidence that it's still running or point me to some T&Cs I can save down before I sign up in my wife's name too!

I signed up a household account member using this promo a week ago. It usually takes about 3 weeks for the points to post so we’ll soon find out I guess. It’s a simple chargeback if they don’t pay up.

I spoke to someone on the Economist live-chat and they indicated it was still going ahead and I asked them to confirm...I then saved down the chat so i figure worst case ill loop back to the Economist and request a refund if it doesn't come through
