My 15K Avios posted on 23 May, 15 days after I signed up for the (Canadian) Economist :)
After Fx fees (had to use my Australian Amex to pay), it cost me A$282.33 for those 15K points so A$1.88 c per BA point.

How does that price compare to purchasing other avios points?

Yes. 3 weeks after sign up. Unsubbed immediately afterwards to restart the 12 month timer.
Pita to cancel....could not do it online and did it via live chat...guy tried every trick to stop me cancelling. :(

Oops - I forgot to cancel my subscription. I imagined you got the bonus Avios every year you renewed, but clearly, that's not the case.

I was able to cancel a month after renewal via live chat, but they were determined not to let me go with various discounts and other offers. I eventually got through the process, and they refunded almost the entire year.

I did a search but couldn't see this offer online. I guess it's no longer valid?

Was going to sign up to take an advantage of this offer again, turns out The Economist have ended their partnership with BA in January 2024.
