15% bonus on credit card points transfers

Got a reminder email headed "Last days to transfer and receive 15% bonus Points", so having done a mega transfer earlier in the month, I thought I'd check whether I had enough points to transfer now. Seems my Amex card has been busy (that DXB trip!) so already have another 5,300 to transfer (6,095 including 15% bonus). Well that's worth points towards an upgraded sector somewhere. Now have 10 Amex MR points left in account. Time to start hoarding again.

I stupidly did both my Westpac points and AMEX points at the start of the offer and transferred the lot! Westpac I've now got over the required 3,000 but just under the 2,000 needed for AMEX - hopefully will creep over by the end of the month/campaign

I always leave 3k points in the account until the last days then xfer the remainder at the end. That way I get the majority over but if I forget it's not a big loss...

OK, have 3 and a bit hours left to transfer points...but a quick question to be answered first if you can??

I got to the last screen in altitude rewards, ready to input velocity number and send, but my 76000 points converted into 38000 points, ok with that as a normal send, but there is NO mention of the extra 15% or 5700 points. Does this just happen automatically afterwards or should I be seeing it in the calculations eg 43700 pints. Would hate to transfer at the normal rate and miss out!

Its done automatically on the velocity side as a bonus points allocation after the points transfer.

I transferred points on 30th April. 2 days later and still waiting for them to appear in my Velocity account...and hopefully with the extra 15%!

From where did you transfer points?

~10am on the 30th I transferred from two Amex MR account - they + 15% bonus were in the velocity account by PM on the 1st.

I transferred from AMEX MR as well. But I transferred early in the afternoon on the 30th. I will give it another day before I call Virgin. I usually get an email confirmation, but I have received nothing to date...

TBH, I received no email either, but I did save .pdf 'prints' of each confirmation page showing its conf. reference number.

I transferred about 9pm on 30th, got them this afternoon (2nd) in the account + 15%.

+1 to that. I've got a batch of ANZ Reward points I'd like to get maximum value for.

Seem to happen once a year, around about the same time every year... Last year it was in October, the year before that I think it was the same timeframe. Runs for about a month, so I waited til my CC Points came in for the month of October and milked as much as could with the Bonus 15%

checking my emails from Velocity, I received an email for 15% bonuses in April 2013 and October 2013 so looks like it's every 6 months. I think I'll wait till april unless ANZ rewards has their own bonus on similar to what they had for Krisflyer in November 2013...

Then why are you asking the community for answers when you can get them yourself Haha... ah... erm, anyway...

No matter to me anymore; Dumped my CBA Awards Card for NAB after the earn ratio went from bad to worse.... The Velocity NAB will do me for now, til I get a proper education/higher paying job
