15 Million Points for J ASA ... Sheer madness

Until T class on QF was usurped to represent a discount PE fare bucket it represented a special economy award available for SG & WP.

Since then Qantas have been able to allocate 'subclasses' of fare buckets, including First, Business, PE and economy for elites and, indeed, vary this by status.

i.e. WP, SG, PS and NB may have different award availabilities on the same flight segment.

How Qantas implement this from time to time is not public information.

I picked up a JASA SIN-FRA for March/APril next year for the minimum amount 2 or 3 weeks ago. As a gold I assume that I get more options. When I booked my flight the only J option from Aust to FRA were via Perth. There was also more availability from SIN to FRA.
I'd suggest check for flights from SIN as there the limitation seems to be from Aust to SIN. I'd also suggest considering FRA as it isn't as popular as london.

I have tried ex HKg, Sin, BKK, NRT etc etc & a wide variety of European destinations to no avail. Will keep looking but I am indeed suspicious that bronze is not my friend in this situation

I would suggest calling qantas, if you haven't already. They don't load all available award flights from hkg and nrt on the website.

Also I did a quick check for jasa
sin-fra is 100000 on march 1-8, 14-16, 20, 22-24, 28, 29
Fra-sin is 100000 on April 4-7, 10, 12-14, 18-21, 25-27
Sin-lhr no classic awards feb to 23 Mar. But JASA is 149000 on 8, 15-17, 23, 24, 29-31 Mar. And 107000 on 27 Mar
Lhr-sin JASA 140000 on 4-7, 10-14, 18-21, 25-28 Apr

So maybe if you ring you might be able to get some of the options that I can see.

I am getting the 6th,7th,8th March over & coming back 12-14th, 18th, 20th, 26th April around the 100,000 mark. Not sure if you were being exact but as matter of interest, Fra-Sin on 19th & 21st-25th April are showing as 301,480 to me & 26th is back just over 100,000.
These are certainly better than I was uncovering last week, maybe some are now offerings

I wasn't being exact I think about 102000 over and 98000 back. Which is what mine cost but I took the cash payment option to reduce the points to 168000 same as a classic award.

I also saw the 301k amounts on other dates.

Now I just need to work out how to get to SIN
