Another mileage devaluation. Good thing I used up all of my Enrich miles when they did the big devaluation back in February last year. My main concern is whether this decision will be contagious and spread down the Malay peninsula to SQ, who have admittedly offered the discount for a lot longer than MH.

Yes, sadly yet another devaluation of our Enrich frequent flyer points! They're trying to put a positive spin on this, but it just doesn't hold water!

I've complained to MH Enrich several times that the promotion's they comes up with are useless & extremely bad value if you live in Australia. All the promotion's are ex Kuala Lumpur & if you take their shop called discounted points say SYD KUL SYD and then add say a KUL BKK KUL, the discounted points add up to much more than the non discounted through points SYD BKK SYD. So MH promotion's are a waste of space!

When are MH going to learn that not all MH Enrich members live in Malaysia & provide a service to them too!!!

Major fail. Seriously. What are they smoking? Have to find a way to burn the rest of my Enrich points now.

The answers to questions 6 and 7 are bizarre and show a poor level of customer relations.

Just transferred some amex points to make a booking for Christmas and to use up the rest of my points.
Sad to see the discount go, enrich was the only program that was easy to get availability on. Well just have to go with Singapore from now on and book earlier.

I'm not sure which is worse - removing the discount, or advising Enrich members with an email that has the subject "You deserve more than 15% off".

I must admit, when I had a quick glance at the email I did not notice that crucial piece of information about online redemptions.

Yet another devaluation for the Enrich program...

I think they worked out that avoiding the call-centre was incentive enough to redeem online

Seriously though, I have chosen to take paid work flights on MH in order to get points for their previously good J redemptions. The only thing they can offer from Enrich now is availability

No loss here. Disappointing service by comparison to others and lacks security at KUL dulled my passion some time back.

I wonder how many folks knew about the discount for online bookings and if it had any effect on reducing load on their call centres.

In Australia for example (a core market), the credit card/bank transfer rate at 1:1 no longer stacks up to transfer to Enrich.
Krisflyer and Asia Miles represent superior value, can have lower taxes - and better air product to boot.

So while it likely doesn't affect MH addicts who live in Malaysia - the biggest hit are those warehousing their miles at the likes of Citi and Amex MR.

Yes, I've booked at three OS family holidays in J as Enrich always had great availability. Hopefully 4x J on SIA is possible if one books early enough ahead. (I've almost given up completely on QF as even upgrades to J are hit and miss...)

The one down-side of using Enrich... When I've had to make change to a redemption booking it's been tempting to make a completely new booking and lose the points on the original one, than try and explain the change to a call centre agent!

I think the last minute availability will still get me. but planned trips will see me going with others.
