My view is that I would rather the 16 and 15 yr old be in a lounge than roaming the airport. Obviously it requires the 16/15 yr old to have a certain maturity. But a lounge is the safest place in an airport to be in my opinion.

That's what I'm thinking. Of course it's not ideal but under the circumstances of Miss QS / 15yr old friend, this was the best option.

Umm, no.

I think the point was that places where there are a high levels of security, I'd checks, screening, cameras, monitoring of who comes and go etc are safer than ones that don't have that.
