Hi Tassieoptom,
Thank you very much for the TR. it was great to read. I am heading to Osaka in August with SQ in Y so it was great to get a TR in Y.
How did you find the seats in the A330 compaired to the 777? I know you said that the leg room was better in the 777.
Thanks again for your time in doing the TR.

Glad to help, the initial checkin was done by a Virgin employee at the priority checkin counter in Hobart. That being said we were a little disappointed with some of the seat selections. Maybe the option are limited from the Virgin end.
Seats were as follows: 777 MEL to SIN 53A 54B Having a window on the flight out in the afternoon gave great sunset views.
330-300 SIN to KIX 34H 34K Not great, windowless window seat, the lack of a window on a night flight sounded ok, but the lack of window also means lack of windowsill, so less room for arm. Would refuse if offered again.
330-300 KIX to SIN 61H 61K back of the bus, second last row, close to toilet, but had no smell/light/noise issues, also close to crew galley and drinks so served first.
330-300 SIN to MEL 35D 35E Our first non window seat.
The seats were really the same cushion/comfort wise, and Krisworld entertainment was identical. My wife swears the cabin felt bigger in the front half of the Y cabins, personally I did not notice any difference. Seating in the 330-300 was 2-4-2,
the 777-300ER has 3-3-3. I liked the spaciousness of the 777 but preferred the 2 seats at the window of the 333. The plane from KIX-SIN had a much older worn out fit out, the buttons on the entertainment system were not working well, and had no writing left. All the other planes were OK, but not up to the A380 levels. Hope this helps.
