Yep, they are imported from Japan, the 330ml bottles are usually from Thailand and now China I believe but the 1L and 2L cans are normally from Japan. Was lucky the Dan's nearest me was one of a few Perth stores that had them in stock when I checked after markis10 posted the link.

If none of your nearby stores have them, there are some coupon codes around the place that get free delivery from the online store, you may need to add a bottle of wine to a beer only order to qualify though.

My local IGA has Asahi brewed in the UK!

My case turned up via Aussie post this morning, carrying it up the stairs it felt so light I was not sure there was anything in the box.
