Hi brains trust, we will be spending 2 days in the area of Gibraltar in early December, and I'm interested in any tips people have about managing the exhorbitant costs associated with this destination. We have already booked a hotel in La Linea de Concepcion for less than half the price of Gibraltar, and as a bonus, all rooms have a balcony with a view of the rock, 500m walk to the border.
Also interested in tips for things to do beside the obvious ones of visit the rock, nature reserve and siege and WWII tunnels, which all look good and are on our plan. How crowded is it mid week in December?
Finally, can we use British pounds (physical cash) there or must we have the Gibraltar variant?
