2 new ALL Accor hotels, opening Mel Airport precinct, near T4

Ibis Budget has gone up to $179 per night, higher some nights, but the standards are the same, ie, like an open prison.
Also earning ALL points there is excluded, so you can pay with a points earning cc, but as for double earn of ALL Accor and QFF at Ibis Budget, nope.
So the Novotel and Ibis Styles near T4, are a blessing.
The walk to Ibis Budget is also very much in the open.
Closer to bp and Maccas of course, but the car park there is a pain to walk past, esp the undercroft, have to watch for cars at all stages.

For I love to travel, the Ibis Budget at Tulla, is horrible, you hear the hum of constant traffic.
Granted at the Novotel and Ibis Styles, on the other side, its just the plane taking off noise.
Havent stayed at either of the 2 modern newer ones, aim to maybe next year too, but probably not double glazed.
Have done the Ibis Budget Sydney Airport, so know of airport noise on that side.

We are looking to stay at Novotel next year @elanshin , keen to hear your thoughts on breakfast
Solid spread of hot and cold food. I'd say this is quite a bit better than most lounges at MEL except maybe Emirates or QF First. Bacon, eggs(3-4 different ways), sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato, hash brown for hot foods.

Salad, fruits and cereal station was decently stocked. Cool honeycomb display in the middle.

Having a light breakfast since I'll end up at QF First later.

And noise leven feedback would be great too. Thanks
When everything is quiet you do hear the odd engine spool up but mainly from the big widebodies or if they're closer on taxiway.

But if the TV is on you wouldn't notice it. I'd say if you're the lightest sleeper you might notice, but generally it's pretty quiet. I couldn't hear anything from the a320s and b737s on domestic duty, only really the 777s.

I stayed at both Ibis Budget and Styles (in that order) recently. I'm a very deep sleeper and I did sleep there from 9pm-6am but I didn't pick up any noise.

Styles was way way nicer, worth the slight premium.

Just cancelled a booking at the Novotel for September. Snared a RHR Suite for $220 ahead of our QF award MEL-HKG flights but checking yesterday and some MH awards ADL-KUL had opened up so I cancelled the award flights and the hotel booking. Non refundable being a RHR but thems the breaks
