Similar offering to this one: 20,000 Woolworths rewards points with a pet insurance policy

Rewards Member Offer | Woolworths Home Insurance

'Protect your home and the things you love with a combined Woolworths Home & Contents Insurance policy. Plus for a limited time you’ll also earn 20,000 bonus points!* Make sure you enter your Rewards card number and promo code WOW20K when you apply.'

* Offer applies to new policies only before 11:59pm 28 February 2019 and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. To receive the offer you must be a Woolworths Rewards member (excludes Tasmanian residents) and enter your Woolworths Rewards card number plus the promo code WOW20K at time of purchasing the policy. Woolworths Rewards bonus points will be loaded within 45 days of the first premium being paid in full. Points will not be backdated. Redemption of Woolworths Rewards is subject to the Woolworths Rewards Terms and Conditions available at woolworthsrewards.com.au

Unclear if this "and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer" means you can't take advantage of the pet insurance offer and this offering.

Unlikely to be as cheap to buy the points with this offer compared to the pet offering. I got around $17 a fortnight for a $200,000 policy.

Remember 20,000 Woolworths bonus points would equal 8700 QFF points if you chose to convert them.

Was 30 days for the pet insurance.

Wonder if Woolies has learnt their lesson :)

This means you likely need to have a policy for 2 months :(

Can anyone make this viable?

I'm getting over $50 a month for $100,000 on a house and $40,000 on the contents.

Should be able to get it a lot cheaper than this price. You don't need house + contents policies to get the 20,000 Woolworths points.

Really?

The promo link states:

'20,000 Woolworths Rewards Points*

With your new Home and Contents Insurance Policy'

Seems fairly clear that it has to be a combined House + Contents Policy.

I did a contents only plan for $20,000 as suggested by FH here: An Easy 17,400 Qantas points for $34 to $48
Interesting. That link also states the following:

'Woolworths Everyday Rewards Members can access a promotion running at the moment where if you take out a new insurance policy and hold the policy for 30 days,'

This is inconsistent with the current terms of the offer which indicate 45 days.

Try a quote for just contents. Just before you go to pay it indicates that you will get the 20,000 points for that policy.

In the small print it said "You must provide your Woolworths Rewards Card number at the time of purchase to receive Woolworths Rewards Points. 20,000 Woolworths Rewards Points will be credited to your Woolworths Rewards account up to 45 days after payment of your first monthly/annual premium. Offer conditional on holding this insurance for a minimum of 30 days and first premium payment received by Woolworths Insurance."

I signed up for $20,000 of contents insurance which is the minimum allowed. Costs just over $20 for a month with $1000 excess. You have to pay by the month, can't pay by fortnight.

Looks good!

Value not as good as for the pet insurance, but I'm on for $19.09 for a month :)

Advise screen shots!
Yep.

Will be very hard to keep track of all of these 20K lots of Woolworths points posting unless you can differentiate the pet ones from the house content ones.

with the difficulties receiving points for the pet insurance offer noted, has anyone received points for their home insurance yet?

Not yet.

My second payment for that was taken today.

It is a 45 day period for this though.

I sent an email to pet insurance support yesterday. I signed up 5 Feb and first payment was on 9 Feb so well over the 30 days promised for WW points. Will see how they respond.

It's 45 days for this NOT 30 days.

I copied this from the offer page when I signed up:

"Receive 20,000 Woolworths Points if you buy a new Woolworths Pet Insurance policy. Your Woolworths Points will be loaded on to your Woolworths Rewards card within 30 days of the first premium being paid."

Good luck, but I think you are confused between the two offers. Your quote appears to refer to the pet offer.

Pet offer = 30 days. House/contents offer = 45 days.

The terms given to me for the house/contents insurance offer clearly state 45 days:

'Offer applies to new policies only before 11:59pm 28 February 2019 and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. To receive the offer you must be a Woolworths Rewards member (excludes Tasmanian residents) and enter your Woolworths Rewards card number plus the promo code WOW20K at time of purchasing the policy.
