20% bonus Qantas Points from credit cards [targeted, with personalised minimum points earn for 3 months]

Interesting to see all the variations. My offer was 800 points a month for 25% bonus. Also wondering if the bonus will apply on multiple cards.

I may have worked out how QF calculated my 34k target - it's suspiciously close to my avg earn over the past 6 months on my QF Ultimate according to Card Companion. My problem is that Amex referrals & retention bonuses are included in the monthly sweep so Qantas probably thinks these are real CC spend.

Are they still sending these out or did they all appear a few days ago?

great to hear, i thought it would be saved up and chunked, and denied if i missed the target any months.
Now to get the calculator out and ensure im on track - at least can still make a donation or two this FY to bump if necessary
I also assumed that the bonus points wouldn't be posted until the end of the promo, and would likewise not be posted if one month hadn't been achieved.

Is this the most confusing promo ever? The card provider is somehow awarding the points? And if you miss month 1 does this mean the others still count? And given the card provider is allocating the points, surely that cannot mean QF got every single QF point earning card onto a single promo platform somehow? I have honestly never been so confused by the definition, targeting and implementation of a promo before.

While I'm at it:

  • How are the target number of points so widely inaccurate for those who had big purchases recently - surely they could average over a wider timescale
  • Why did they just choose some arbitrary day to start from? They could have just said after your next statement and everyone would have started with 30 days to go but instead anyone with a nearby statement date and without significant spend just failed at the first hurdle
  • Zero acknowledgement of any sort that someone could have multiple points earning cards and no clarification as to what that entails

I’d actually completely forgotten about this promo! But on track.

One of my cards (NAB QF Signature VISA) posted last week but no bonus points. QF points from my Biz AMEX will land early next week and that will be 1st month each.

I had also assumed this was an all or nothing promo (bonus after 3 mths).

I think it has something to do with the QF Card Companion as posted earlier by @sudoer . My target makes sense for one of my cards but not the other. My gut says I'll be awarded the points on one card but not the other and I'll be emailing for missing points before long...

3100 points for a 20% bump for me. I did churn a cc within the last 12 months, but that was a MasterCard, so suspect that 3100 is likely to be my Amex 12 month rolling average.

Can anyone else report earning points yet? I've had both of my cards sweep but no bonuses it seems.

@motef where was that screenshot from?
