Can’t see why anyone would convert KF to Velocity, even with 20% bonus. Terrible value, even if it was 1:1.

Much better award availability with KF, lower taxes, less points required for saver awards. I’ve done it previously the other way round for that reason, and definitely would with 20% bonus. Also, Velocity points relatively easy to earn in Aus, KF not so much.

I actually recently booked a reward flight on SQ via VFF and was surprised that it was less points and $ than if I’d booked via SQ. But I suspect that was an anomaly.

Lol ignore my reply I misread what you said!
You didn’t! I got it wrong first time, had to switch KF and Velocity around.

That is sometimes the case, PE availability can be decent, business less so I find, but it’s the 1:55 to 1 transfer which kills it for me.

Must not be as much people going KF > VFF, leading to this special.

I do wonder (if) the Krisflyer/Velocity transfer will be retained with QR now on the VAH shareholder register, or if it'll be retained alongside a potential future Velocity/Avios transfer program.

thanks.. managed to transfer out ~7000 miles from my son's account to my VFF account. they weren't going to be enough for anything, but when our points combine.....!! :D

Just tested this, and calc shows 5000k KrisFlyer = 3226 Velocity. Isn't it supposed to be 3871?
It doesn't mention a 20% bonus. Does it just require one to believe that 20% will be added after you press the redeem button?
