It's not waived anymore. But, $95 for 50,000 QFF points is still pretty good.

There's a promo thread about the ANZ 50k bonus. I signed up when it was no annual fee. My points have arrived in quick tine and it's been over at my QF account for a month or so now.

I think after much deliberation, i think i'll save the business class ticket for a Mel-London flight.
The flight Mel-LAX is 'only' 14Hours vs a 24hour flight Mel-London which for another 50k points i think is much more worth it!
Will think it over though.

If you're planning to fly MEL-LAX anyway, and would ordinarily book in economy, why not try for a points upgrade anyway? If you book on one of the less busy days, e.g. Tuesday-Thursday, and not during school holidays etc. you may well get the upgrade, even if you are bronze. If you can't get the upgrade to business, premium economy (for fewer points) may be a good fallback option. And if you don't get either, well you haven't lost any points.

probably could call my bank but cant be bothered talking to them at the moment.
i currently have an ANZ QFF rewards card for a few years now, can i cancel it and re-apply for another one to get the bonus points?
