Sorry I forgot to put my apologies.

I missed the race as I was watching Missy Higgins in Wodonga, and then driving back to MEL. Home by 3.30am with a 9am start on the second to last day before holidays.

Was the race interesting?

IMHO, not really ... put me to sleep ...

Def one of the more boring ones this season.

ROS did very well after flat spotting early and driving almost the entire race on one set.
RIC did very well to hold on after a sideways skid caused by VET driving into him, and then did some good lap times to pass him and held on with old rubber whilst catching ALO

Bathurst was far more interesting.

I wonder if the Bathurst council will hit one of their library's to borrow a copy of a "dummy's guide to building roads" LOL

Definately more interesting than F1, although I did like the design of the track.

Yes contrary to my earlier predictions the race was a cure for insommnia, mostly due to the dominance of the mercedes car performance compared to all the other cars, tyres not wearing out, a surprising abscence of safety cars, the track itself has potential and is pretty cool.

The track's too green. It needed more wear and tear on it for tyre degradation.

I believe it's also a street circuit?

In the past it has been the other way around. New track surfaces tended to wear tyres at a greater rate until the surface smoothed somewhat in getting filled in with tyre residue etc.

Maybe this track was 'over' preconditioned.

I loved that huge corner though, seeing cars jostling 2 or 3 abreast as they flew around it... amazing stuff at the start, boring as the field spread out
