Albeit 10s breaks are shorter than the feed they take.

Anyhow I just turn Audio Commentary on in the timing app during add breaks and listen to that stream whilst watching the timing

Thanks for that tip Moa999. You've saved me from endless Shannon's ads and Meerkats.:)

They only added that option a couple of weeks ago, so you didn't miss much...

Also worthwhile having team radio on full time - get a bit more and more quickly than the tv

A bit OT but a crash in the Formula E GP.

It should be noted that incident was on the last corner and was for the Win.

Heidfeld in the Venturi, and Nick Prost in the Renault

I was watching it on Fox Sports. A frightening crash. I think Heidfeld was lucky to walk away from that. Am I being Neanderthal but without the noise, the cars don't appear to be going very fast, and the warm up lap ( where they crawl around to save battery) looks ridiculous.

Why do electric cars need a warm up lap anyhow? perhaps a shutdown/restart support desk ticket is more appropriate?

The warm up lap is to warm up the tyres.

Yes I suppose, I was thinking of it purely as an engine warm up lap. Also inspects the track, you know, to make sure that there are no underground metro power lines that might interfere with the cars..ala Webber Singapore GP 2008.

Is Riccardo much of a chance in Singapore?

I'm going to the race with friends and partners and it's also my bet in the punters club I'm in.

It'd be rude not to back the Aussie wouldn't it?

A much better chance at Singapore and Japan, than at last weeks race.
Both are lower speed, more technical cornering tracks that generally suit RedBull's conrnering and doesn't penalise their lack of top speed and engine horsepower.

Quali starts in Singapore in a few hours. The tight track should mollify the power advantage of the Mercedes engine which should tighten up the race though Hamilton was still the quickest in practice yesterday, and Ricciardo said he reckoned LH had a bit more in reserve.

A massive Australian contingent up here for the race and the cheer when Dan took the lead at the end of Q3 was bigger then when Hamilton finally got pole. A bit of luck and it could be a fourth win. More Red Bull shirts around than anything else.

Unfortunately, the biggest memory I have so far of the 2014 SIN GP is the massive downpour just after qualifying finished. I am still wet I think.

With no run off areas, the inevitable rain induced accidents will mean lots of safety car laps and I reckon that'll mean the race will end under the 2 hour rule.
Hang on a tick. The safety car laps are slower than the racing laps, so it will take longer to complete the distance. The more safety cars, the more chance of going over the 2 hours. Just sayin'

Thats what Kelevdon is saying, the race will end under the terms if the two hour rule.
