....and he’ll be using the same engine next year
Which has had how many failures in the Renault cars?

Newey designs tight rear ends (heh), it compromises cooling and packaging. They run at the limit, accept the compromise but don't accept the consequences. It's been like that at RBR since the cars were re-designed at the rear in the 2009 regs.

I struggle to see the RB positivity about next year.

Id think Renault and Torro Rosso's packaging is about equal.. yet in the last two races, even since the new engine, Renault has handed it to TR

Last race for the season about to start. Likely to be another procession, so roll on 2019....

He looks to be OK at least, they wouldn't have rolled the car back over if there was any suspected injury...

I thought maybe Red Bull would pull in VES to change to the Ultrasoft tyres, but nope - guess they'll get more life out of the Hypersoft given the few laps on the safety car.

Well, that's another season wrapped up then. Finishing order almost in line with the driver standings for the year. BOT not performing ended up dropping him down to 5th in the championship too.

Good for RIC to end up finishing 4th, shame he couldn't get a podium for his last outing with RBR.

Roll on 2019!

Agreed. I'm not sure why they didn't let him try the last stint on Hypersoft, given Max did 20 laps (plus 3 on qualy) on then and Dan was on much lighter fuel

I fear RIC will find it harder to get on the podium next year than this. HAM is in such good form I can see Schumachers record achievable

He's been fairly clear that he doesn't expect Renault to be up there next year

So Hartley, the Kiwi driver has been dropped by Torro Rosso for 2019 and rookie Alexander Aldon takes his seat
