2019 - The year in flight

A slightly quieter year for me....

41 sectors (29 dom, 12 int)
98 019km
Shortest flight: Probably SYD-OOL
Longest flight: SIN-LHR
Best flight: Probably a CGK-SYD on QF. It was economy but the crew were so fabulous and couldn't have done more to make things a pleasure. For comfort probably a LHR-HKG on Cathay in J.
Worst flight: SYD-OOL on QF a couple of weeks ago. A succession of annoying failures including "a computer" moving me on its own (apparently) from 4D to a window further back. I can't stand windows and feel quite claustrophobic wedged into the wall. Couldn't be changed as totally full flights!.....

Flew less often, but a lot further than last year.

53 sectors (lowest number sectors I've flown since 2000)
152,565 miles (245,529 km) (most since 2016), with average sector length of 2879 miles.
Shortest flight: LKO-DEL (263 mi)
Longest flight: SIN-LAX (8770 mi)
New airports: MEX, PVR, DIG, LKO, TLS
New airlines: 4O, TV
Best flight: SIN-FRA in F on SQ for milestone birthday, on my actual birthday. Although not suites, was a dayflight and enjoyed the full F experience before continuing in suites to JFK the following morning. An outstanding flight.
Worst flight: SIN-MEL on Scoot, cramped and uncomfortable. But next time I paid extra for "Super Seats" (3-4" extra legroom) and made a world of difference, so they redeemed themselves.
Other notable trivia: First time since 1996 without taking a single (Australian) domestic flight. Not even as part of connection. 14 of the 53 sectors were between two airports - SIN and MEL.

About 2/3rd of 2018 for me. 62 flights for 85k miles.

Perfect status credit management in 2019 exactly 1,200 and didn't take loyalty credits and flew a few non earning CX and MH flights also.

Only thing new was one airport being LGK.

14 different aircraft types
33 different individual sectors
MEL-SYD was the most frequent sector at 7 flights followed by SYD-MEL with 5

New airports: USM & LER
Longest flight: SYD-DFW
Shortest flight: DPO-MEL
Edit: New Type: 789
I can't recall if I ever flew on a F100 as a child so maybe two new types.

Most memorable moment: Sitting in 4A in QF F bouncing a 4 month old little miss Tomcat on my lap when the man in 3A walked past, did a double take, smiled and exclaimed "that's so cool!"
