I'm a bit excited as I have just finalised some key award bookings for June-July 2019. Currently flying MEL-IST with SQ in J early June 2019. Flying out of Europe from CDG-DPS with QR J early July. 4 nights in Bali, then overnighting in SIN flying home with SQ again in J. Still finalising all the European bits but the current thinking is Istanbul, Athens, Vienna, Bavaria and Paris.

Fellow AFFers, what exciting travel plans do you have for 2019? I am sure there will be plenty of interesting itineraries out there to inspire me!

February-cruise to Auckland and a couple of weeks in the North Island.
May-cruise around the British Isles and Ireland with 10 days driving probably Wales.Awards booked for OZ F-will be first time for us.
August-cruise from Reykjavik to Quebec then time on PEI.Nearly time to get those award bookings.

Early April we're flying SYD-SIN-AMS via SQ J reward seats (used VA points) and then Iceland Air to Iceland. Hubby wants to scuba dive the tectonic plates and we're not getting any younger (they have age restrictions) so thought now is the time.

Then we fly back to Amsterdam for a week, just happened to be at the same time as the Keukenhof Tulip festival so tulips and cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. Return is also SQ reward seats via VA points.

August will be NT as I declared last week that every winter, we must head north to thaw out (plus I like Darwin).

Dec to be decided.

Will say Iceland, Amsterdam, Easter Island (last year), Scotland (this year) ect was NEVER on our bucket lists - AFF is a very bad enabler in stick a dart in the map and see how you get there. :p

Enjoy your travel planning!

That is a loooooooong wait for your trip!

Next year we are not planning a lot of personal travel. In late Jan and early Feb will be travelling to Harbin and Sapporo for the ice festivals. Main sectors booked with QF, MU and JL all in J. Will most likely go to some other place later in the year.

Work travel well that is another story and often to much.

Planning on doing a few US cities late next year, hopefully (award inventory dependant) being in NYC when the Rockefeller tree is lit - mrs Rock loves her Christmas decorations and displays!!

I'm in NYC for Christmas/New Year 2018/2019. Booked about a year out. Availability for award flights/award hotels wasn't a problem then. But given CX reduced availability may be a problem in the future (Reduction of CX award flights to the US)

AKL Dinner Sat March 9 2019...then currently Zip for now :(

Thanks for the reminder, I really should start looking at flight options. I'm eyeing out a cruise from Copenhagen to St Petersburg but also want to spend a few days in Moscow. Does anyone know how cold Sept would be? And will I have Visa issues wanting 2 entries to Russia within a couple of weeks?

Also about to book AKL in Feb to see a friend's new baby (you gotta see tha baay-bee)

NYC really is pretty at Xmas time, but man is it cold!

Tokyo, London, Scotland, Paris, and Hong Kong - April / May 2019. Some of the destinations have been selected purely on the basis of booking a mixture of awards with QF / JL / CX .... luckily we enjoy visiting all the destinations in the loop.

Looking forward to JL F HND-LHR and managed to secure CX F CDG-HKG before the CX award decimation.

2019 is looking pretty good,
January, have a week in Tassie. Then Feb heading on a RTW fare, BND-SYD-HKG-LHR-LAX-CVG-SFO-LAX-BNE.
This coming of a week in Japan in December.
Also just booked a last minute reward BNE-LAX-LAS in Y+ and then LAX-BNE in J on VA. Flying out this Sunday night. First int J :)
I cant stop looking at my upcomming trips on Trippit :)
Then there is my 100+ work flights but thats rather boring

Three weeks in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, AKA the 5 'Stans :):):). Fulfilling a MAJOR bucket list ambition; its over a year away and I'm already poring over maps and guides.

Trying hard to find a suitable tour in Sudan.
