I have just received my new platinum card up til 27 June 2021. Review date was 27 June 2020. Certainly had enough SC's to re-qualify in January this year.
But we are in WA. Not going anywhere for a long time. (maybe Broome trip only) But want to.How on earth do you get another 800 SC's for platinum again.

All my bonus SC's were family transferred to partner. His review is Jan 2021. He has enough so his expiry should go to Jan 2022.
Have over
Also have the Qatar platinum offer up til June next year.
If Virgin goes down market I may have to throw my lot in with Qantas. Have over 200,000 FF's from use of Visa. More overseas travel partners too, and now Woolworths rewards.

Have received my renewed platinum card and it's just depressing. I'm in Victoria so I'm not going anywhere for a long time :( Even with the bonus SCs I'll be dropping down to gold next renewal.

To be honest not that fussed as the main benefit of platinum is being at the front of the queue for international upgrades and VA mk2 isn't going to be flying internationally so gold will be sufficient for domestic perks.

Mine goes to next June. Liked the platinum for the free economy X and 4 free business upgrades. Will that exist?

No flying as can't get out of WA (or can't get back in) and forget Broome. Maybe able to fly there but accom all booked and expensive. Trapped sandgropers all holidaying here, as Bali is off the agenda.

Looking like gold in 2021 and Qantas patronage with their international airlines affiliations. Once there is the jab and we can all travel o/s again.
Thinking about a Velocity electric BBQ too with remaining points. (already bought lots of booze before final meltdown!)
