Looks like track limits are a bit of a problem for a few people, PIA was knocked out in SQ1 as he lost his lap time so starts in 16th for the sprint race.

Sprint race had lots of good racing, worth a watch. VER back on form.

I bet VER wasn't too happy with RUS though at the end of Q3....... he had the car hooked up for P1, so it's NOR in P1 instead and VER P2.

Just sack PER already and put TSU in...or better still RIC.
Even LAW got to P3 in the first quali in the RB.
Some Haas's up there as well.

Good to see Danica back to balance out the pommy worship of HAM, though they will not have much to say today after his lack of performance.

Cant believe McLaren didnt make Lando give the spot back and have another go.
Seems to panic and struggle with the overtake when he has better tyres and pace, same as Austria....and his starts....jeez....
Was hoping for a more interesting race after the Sprint was pretty good

finally got around to watching the race. been avoiding spoilers all day.

the wheel to wheel racing at COTA is some of the best, the battle between max and lando at the end was so good. loving this season so far.

Yes, one of the best races of the year. Slightly disappointing that Mad Max didn’t also cop a penalty.

The off track areas of this circuit are a bit of a joke. Bring back gravel.

Been slow to watch it all myself due to MotoGP as well...how about the wildlife! And the tear off wheelie at the start!

Ant explained it all very clearly, Max was in front at the Apex, Lando overtook off the track. Both got penalties for the offence they committed. Are the rules right...probably not...but ALL the teams and drivers agreed to them.

Anyway, the only way to stop this track limit stuff is with a wall. Its not a problem at Bathurst or Monaco is it?? A less extreme situation is gravel...it stopped HAM when he went off track. LOL.
Or what about an electronic gizmo that turns the engine down to 10% until you get back on the track, or automatically flattens your battery or turns off the DRS for 5 laps.. V8 Supercars have similar tech for kerb strikes at Adelaide and Gold Coast...no stewards involved. Fans dont want podiums changed afterwards with appeals etc.

Martin's Grid Walk a tad boring if Gordon Ramsay is the best he could find...was expecting some US wannabe who doesn't know who Martin is.

And the 2 and 3rd trophy, a small wheel?? WTF?? You get the same for Pole.

Hope to hear PER announce his retirement at Mexico next week.

Martin's Grid Walk a tad boring if Gordon Ramsay is the best he could find...was expecting some US wannabe who doesn't know who Martin is.

All 3 trophies were apparently changed as Pirelli didnt issue the fancy trophies they had designed and promoted all week when someone said they looked like some other design.

The pix look like a lego man with a Mickey Mouse head...maybe a tyre was a better deal.

But of a semantic that mad max was ahead at the apex by millimeters when he knowingly braked very late so he must have known he would not make the corner and thus force Lando off the track.
