2024 Hilton Status Retention

Well Hilton denied me retaining silver because -"Further, as I can you have completed only 6 nights in last year that's why your tier is downgraded. In this criteria you were needed to complete 10 nights with 4 stays and 25,000 points."
Though the T&Cs have or between the 3 ways.
Then they sent me a survey as to how they did.

It is or. Last year I requalified by stays but not nights.

Finally today I got HH to admit they made a mistake in not keeping me at Silver. there has been a 3 mohth back and forward. They finally came up with the hotel can't find your folio. So unless you have a copy no more discussion. I had said very early on in the discussion that I had asked every hotel that I stayed that on that trip to email me the folio and every hotel except 1 had done that. naturally the one that hadn't was the Hilton Osaka.
So today I reached my breaking point and sent an email with screen shots of the booking for each of the 3 rooms. the screenshot of the Amex payment plus screenshots from the emails that other hotels had sent with my folio but with attachment removed.
I then said I'm sorry but I don't believe you as I can't imagine a Japanese hotel being so inefficient. Reminded them that I had been a Hilton Diamond for 7 years requalifying always on points, nights and stays but now I am lifetime platinum with Bonvoy and Diamond Ambassador with IHG.
Then added I have 2 upcoming stays at Hilton properties. If I am not silver when I check in these will be the last Hilton properties I will ever stay at.
Sent the email at 3pm and at 6pm got an email back from Hhonours. Very apologetic and admitting they had made a mistake and only credited me with 1 room instead of 3/ So back to Silver and got the points for the 3 rooms and can keep the points already allocated.

So QF isn't the only business that can take a long time to admit a mistake.

It seems your patience and persistence has paid off @drron. But all that just for HH Silver status? If you were chasing up Diamond or even Gold status then justified for sure. Personally, I’m not sure it’d be worth it given the meagre benefits.

Two reasons. First even silver gets 5th night free on awards.
And I have had 7 years as diamond and 3 years ago did check on the lifetime diamond and I had 1.7million base points and 870 nights. I just got an extra 55000 base points with this latest success.
But after yet another bad experience I think I will let it slide.
