Depart Adelaide tomorrow for Bahrain.
Looking forward to attending a night race.

Yep. Oscar really needed to go long and run in clean air..
But he was the first to complain about tyres so got brought in

So Alpine deprive Doohan of an FP1 outing in favour of Hirakawa, then promptly allow him to bugger off to Haas as their new reserve driver.

Now to be fair, Hirakawa is a Toyota driver and Toyota Gazoo Racing have a technical tie-up with Haas (so Alpine may not have had much option to retain him), but this never-the-less gives all the appearance of an own goal from Alpine.
