As discussion is now moving towards next season it's time for the 2025 thread.
Hopefully we don't have to wait too long to see who will be replacing Sergio.

Pretty deafening noise around Lawson in for Checo, announcement pending.
Yuki is going to lose his sht, poor little guy :)

Personally think he'll end up at Aston Martin with ALO (or to eventually replace ALO) assuming that STR Jr isn't ousted sooner.

Interesting thing will be the buyout figure for Checo.
By reports through the season, a performance clause might mean no buyout.
But for RBR it will mean loss of a big Mexican sponsorship, and suspect no Kiwi company waiting in the wings.

2025 shaping up as a cracker of a season before the new regs shake everything up again.

By loosing the constructors championship and coming third, the team has a already lost $18m in prize money.
Thing is, he's remained ultra defiant to the last in terms of his position in the team and "certainty" of a drive for next season. Sure, that could simply be pride and bravado mixed with a refusal to read the writing on the wall. But it could also mean that he knows the contract is in his favour such that he either is assured a drive or a decent buyout figure for RB to oust him. We'll find out the truth of it in due time.

PER "drive" may not necessarily be in F1 but...is the way out some people are thinking, he may be histories highest paid Dakar driver for example.

I’m interested to see how Sainz goes at Williams. He had a great second half of the season, so will be good to see how the Williams car holds up for him
