Yeah, but what about June, July, September and November 🤣

AFF cruise Sydney to Hobart in Jan.

Morocco in Sept. I'm waiting for rewards seats SIN to anywhere EU to open up and will spend a handful of days wherever SQ drops me off. Options are BCN, CPH, FCO, FRA, CDG.

End of April to start of June:
Milan-Como-Switzerland-Slovenia-Croatia-Trieste-Bologna-Rome-La Spezia-Milan
It's mainly northern Italy but have included the side trips.
Otherwise just a week down the south coast (NSW) in January.

Feb to Japan, some hiking in the Japan Alps and onsen (hopefully in snow!). Then to Kyoto (long time no see!) and Hyogo for some winter crabbing 🤣

Want to cycle the Shimanami Kaido in Nov plus some onsen hopping in Yamaguchi and Northern Kyushu, but out of points as of now...hoping for a sale from CX or CI or SQ....

Shikoku is quiet for sure, but holy cow Kyushu is flooded with tourists....
I wanna do the Shiminami Kaido one day. I'd never do it during that cold of a season. Maybe October or April.

Kyushu has some tourists, but nowhere near as many as other places, especially in the middle of nowhere places we go to. Our favourite region to stay is Tohoku and some places there see like, a dozen western tourists a month if that.

Onsens and sentos are great.

Probably gonna do the winter travel at the end of next year or early 2026, because it's great.

Clearly you are not going to Yufuin then! That place did my head in 🤢
Even Kurokawa onsen was not as quiet as I had hoped!

Re Shimanami Kaido, I guess it depends on what you are used to? I cycle in Melbourne all year around.

Seems like a nice place, but I’m talking grabbing a car, pointing to a spot on the map and heading there. That’s what I love about Tohoku, so few tourists and such wonderful places to visit. Fukushima is a beautiful prefecture.

I’m a Sydney boy, so I’d prefer a little warmer weather, but then again I’m also not against when it’s a little more chilly. Being in Aomori in the peak of winter was life changing as a dude who’d never seen snow before.

Japan in April and May for land tour then cruise.

Vietnam and Cambodia in September for a River cruise.

I've been to Tohoku twice, loved Sendai but honestly I need to go again (I'm thinking Akita in snow)...but I'll never do the kind of travel you prefer, clearly. And that's a good thing! We are all different.

The first week of january is the end of our Christmas Thailand trip.
February. Sydney for 55 years since graduation.
March. Week in North Island NZ.
May maybe a Singapore - Mumbai cruise followed by 2 weeks in Singapore and Thailand. cruise will probably be cancelled but the post cruise trip will be done anyway.

Then a gap until our family Christmas trip. Probably in Samoa.
