Dec 2024 - 2 weeks in Vietnam ; starting at Ho chi Minh city and flying back from Hanoi

I'm in Vietnam after Christmas

Melbourne mid-January for the Australian Open tennis
Melbourne late January for work
Austin mid-February for work
And then a possible relocation to the US mid-year.

The NSW North Coast for two weeks in January.
Portugal, Paris, Sicily, Italy for later in the year. Still putting the jigsaw together. But I love the planning and anticipation.

- a few short interstate trips - friends and rellies

- a cheapish week somewhere in Asia to relax, massages and food (not Bali)

- 4-6 weeks railways of Switzerland and visiting the places in various locales of France on my list I missed in last trip.

- constantly looking at cruise specials

- Iceland / Norway / northern lights 2026

NTL J in February as I haven't been there in 55 years, it was a school trip in 1969.

I'm sure you will notice a huge difference. Plenty to do in and around Newcastle.

Rome and Italy for a few weeks in the beginning of May.
Both for work, but a relaxed pace.

The first week of january is the end of our Christmas Thailand trip.
February. Sydney for 55 years since graduation.
March. Week in North Island NZ.
May maybe a Singapore - Mumbai cruise followed by 2 weeks in Singapore and Thailand. cruise will probably be cancelled but the post cruise trip will be done anyway.

Then a gap until our family Christmas trip. Probably in Samoa.

It looks like we have filled the gap between May and Christmas. In September almost certainly a cruise from Southampton to Lisbon. apart from departure and arrival ports only 1 other port we have been to. The Channel Islands and 3 nights in Bordeaux the highlights.

Spend some time in northern Wales and then Devon before the cruise.

I already knew I was going to Morocco in Sept 2025, but didn't know how I'd get there. Now I've confirmed reward SQ J to FRA, so I'll get the train to London via Brussels and frolick around London, eat at a Michelin star restaurant, see Phantom of the Opera (which was my very first musical 30 years ago) and go on a day trip to the countryside, probably Cotswolds. I'm excited!

FEB: Quick dash to the Phillipines for 9 days over Val with the partner, return in J with QF
APRIL: Four weeks tour of western Africa , in J with Qatar and F from Doh-Per
May/June: 3 weeks in Malaysia and Thailand, all in J
??NZ, , waiting for the NRL draw to be out before planning my trip to NZ

All reward redemption with mixture of Avios, Qantas, Aeroplan and Velocity.
