23B an exit row?

What I don't get is how can there be so many P1s that the front row of Y is completely full? On QF1011 and 1012 (Friday & Monday) row 4 was completely unavailable to me, even at T-80. In reality, on QF1012 it was full, on QF1011 B and E were both empty (P1 shadow?). Are there really 6 P1s all coming back from Hobart on a Monday afternoon?

JohnK please stop perpetuating this myth. On a 763 CL/P1 get 23/24. WP get 25/26. SG get 27-28 or 27 - 29. I have seen this on colleagues Bps.

Again for instance we changed flights on Friday - I got front row of whY and a Gold colleague got row 30. WP is not the same as SG.

My experiences are not quite the same.

When a Gold can select the same seats as a Platinum at T-80 hours then the benefits are the same. eg. I pre-allocate 25J and a Gold pre-allocates 27J. At T-80 hours a Gold moves to 23J and Platinum is still stuck at 25J. Where was the benefit in being Platinum? If 23J is not available at T-80 hours?

That would first depend on what config you're flying on, QF has 4 different configs for the 767.

3 out of 4 chance saying that they're not the same though.

The BA birds, the domestic birds and the international birds.

Wait - it is 4, it would seem OGV has its own config...

23AB/JK on the ex-BA birds VH-ZX* is good as the partition between J & Y doesn't go all the way to the floor so you can stretch your legs out. The exit rows 43AB/JK on these aircraft has heaps of leg room as crew seats are there where F/A's sit for takeoff and landing.

Rows 23 & 26 on these (VH-ZX*) a/c have bassinets in front of the middle seats so I imagine the leg room/pitch would be the same. Not sure re leg room on 43DEF but will check it out next time I'm on one of these birds.

I'm not 100% sure but I think OGV doesn't have a 24DEF which may or may not be due to the fact is was an AO a/c at one stage so there may have been an extra galley forward of those seats. AV Geeks may notice the orange paint still around the nosewheel.

I would say 24F for legroom

25AB is not a bulkhead so does not have any additional legroom as it has 2 rows of seats in front of it but they are crew rest so don't appear on the seat map.

As Mannej said either go for 24F for legroom as no seat in front or 35B or 35J in the exit row.

There actually is a bulkhead in front on 25A/B. It forms part of a crew rest "privacy" capsule or "box".

Inside I believe is just the one seat, not 2 rows of 2. In earlier days this box was expandable for long haul international flights and when expanded 25A/B were unusable as no foot room.

There is still an extra galley between business and economy. I like this aircraft and if sitting in 23J it feels good as there is no one next to you on the left.
