Hopefully this all runs smoothly now.

i recall a post up thread speculating what would occur should velocity have a points devaluation while 250k points were overdue.

lucky it wasn't too bad, but still could cause a negative value of points.

...and VFF announced an increase in most long haul redemptions by 20% to start in a few months time....

How much reward seat availability is there....

Glad it's all sorted finally, blackswan.

Interesting how you got your points so quickly, yld200. My loan draw down was mid december and I'm still waiting for the points (still within the 90 days so waiting patiently, but interesting that yours arrived in a much shorter time frame).

So an update from me; as I posted in the other thread, I realised that none of my NAB velocity card points had gone through either when checking for the 250,000 points. I called NAB today and they read out the velocity account number linked to my account which was completely wrong..not sure how they got that number, will have to chat with my broker!

Anyway, they updated the number and said that they could see the 250,000 points were actually processed to transfer in January (my loan settled mid-late December) but never went through since the account name and number didn't match. So he's forwarded it on to the points team to ask for it to be reissued and said it should hopefully appear in the next statement but to ring them back if it doesn't. Was quite a helpful agent.

Just got a call from my banker and formal application has been approved. Settlement is due for 21st of July, so hopefully I tick of the boxes quickly+soon and get my points posted to me. Judging from all the stories on here, it sounds like I might be waiting a while.

Can I confirm the boxes to tick are basically:
1. Get a home loan approved and drawn down by xx_ date
2. Get a Nab Velocity credit card and make a transaction within 30 days of draw down
3. Get a personal transaction account and deposit money into there

Then hopefully NAB pays me the points within 90 days of the final box being ticked?

Correct.

My advice if the points don't arrive when promised - make an initial complaint over the phone (ask for a reference number). Tell them you'll give them 5 business days to resolve. Then, lodge a complaint with the Financial Industry Ombudsman.

I made the mistake of believing the telephone staff, social media team, and my branch manager that the points would arrive "at the end of this month" - and then the next, and next....

The team that deal with the Ombudsman complaints are the only ones with direct access to contact Velocity.
