I only use it once or twice a month ($150-$250), but that is obviously too much as I didn't get the offer.

I generally only use it on online shopping sites which require payment in foreign currency and when I travel overseas (usually once or twice per year). I would average about $40 in a non-travel month.

My offer was half as easy:

As a valued 28 Degrees MasterCard customer, we want to reward you for everyday spending.

Here’s how it works

Simply make 6 transactions over $10 from now, unitl 31 July 2014, and we’ll credit your account with $20*.

My offer was $20 after 18 spends on the card. Definitely not worth it for me. I only use the card for overseas online purchases and when travelling.

I received a letter earlier during the week upgrading my card to Platinum as a 'loyal customer'. I don't use it that much (3-4 times a month and not major purchases either). Seems like they are doing the rounds or maybe it's a case of 'don't forget we are here too'.

I got the 18 by 31-July as well.
Just too many txns too be bothered with.

I also got the letter upgrading the card to Platinum - had forgotten all about it until I read your post. Doesn't offer anything extra that I will use, i.e. concierge service, so scanned the letter and recycled it.

Has anyone qualified for the credit and received it yet? I qualified but no credit on the August statement.

No letter for me. But I definitely use the card heaps. I am trying to switch to bankwest platinum just to get the 0.75 point per dollar. I must break even the $160 fee!!

Everything is a platinum card these days, but the real reason is so they can charge additional merchant fees.

Just got a new offer for free shipping at a few merchants in the US:

Dear Get Me Outta Here,

Enjoy FREE shipping when you spend over $80 at Saks or over $100 at Bloomingdales, Motosport and True Religion's online stores.

It's never been easier to give your loved ones something special for Christmas. And with a great range of online USA retailers to choose from, you'll have the whole family covered.

Pay with your 28 Degrees Platinum MasterCard and enter the code MCSHIP at checkout.

Don't miss out, offer ends 22 November, so start shopping today!
