I asked earlier about long layovers in Dubai. Well turns out my company is to cheap to buy tickets that would qualify me for the Dubai Connect option. So Im left on my own to find something.

I guess I have 2 connections. And to start I hve Qantas Platinum status. One is Lounge access. I arrive on Saturday on a Qantas flight ,QF8421. My flight from Dubai to Astana is a Emirates flight EK2194, but is operated by FlyDubai, it leaves at 12:45am Sunday. What lounges can I access?
Sort of same thing coming back.
Emirates flight operated by FlyDubai, then Qantas flight QF8434 to Brisbane. Both Qantas flights are operated by Emirates.

I know I should have lounge access but which ones?

Othe question is accomadation. I dont want to leave the airport or the terminal really. Hotel is very expensive. The Sleep-N-Fly pods and small rooms I can get work to spring for. Any recomendations which ones are best in Dubai Terminal 3?

Looks like the flight to Astana also departs from the same Terminal 3:

As a QF Platinum, I think you should be eligible to access any of the EK First class lounges (my favourite is concourse A).

there is a quiet sleeping area on angled couches in the EK first class lounge - I would not bother leaving the sanctuary of the first class lounge....

Ok that's definitely well into "get a room" territory.

I wouldn't stay in any lounge for 19 hours, not even the A Concourse EK F.
I did a F lounge run across all 3 concourses over 10 hours last year including a massage and a short nap

yes that is get a room territory - cheap hotel near the airport which has flexible check in/check out times is Holiday Inn Express - they have a shuttle - it is 'sort of' opposite Terminal 3, but not easy to walk to - although from memory I walked back from the hotel to the airport through the metro station.

Or, if budget permits and not wanting to explore downtown Dubai, the Dubai International Hotel (airside) is a perfectly fine option too. Very spacious lead-in rooms that are modern and clean.

I am flying on an EK codeshare on flydubai DXB-TLV today and was denied access to the EK F Lounge in Dubai as a QF WP.

Even though the flight was booked as and EK codeshare, the boarding pass has a FZ code on it.

So seems no lounge access unless it is EK metal.
