Yep I'll follow up this thread with what happens! I have been out of MEL airport (once) from landing to car pick up in 20 mins :mrgreen: That is my record!

If you land from the US at the same time the Vietnam flight lands, you have a good immigration record and nothing unusual to declare, they can wave you through, and yes, the 20 min is possible.

The flights have indeed been arriving early into Darwin... 6:15am yesterday and 6:18am today.....

That's what I told them, but they were interested in the $$ savings.....

They are actually flying into Darwin on an international flight... So they have 15 mins to get bags and through customs... :shock:

Doesn't look like they will be saving any money on this plan.

In my experience, relying on planes to arrive early tends to have bad (read expensive) outcomes!
