Doing a search tonight and noticed that there is 30% off points + pay?
interestingYes. It's a promotion that will run until 30 June 2023.
It's briefly mentioned here:
Qantas Wants More Redemption Options for Frequent Flyers
Qantas will increase opportunities for members to redeem points on the ground through expanded retail partnerships, and by growing Qantas Hotels & Holidays.www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
that said, has the Classic Rewards points for Business flights be reduced?
yeah, i was probably not realising its heading onto 4 years since the last "devaluation"No changes to Classic Rewards.
The promotion hasn't been announced yet because I believe it officially starts tomorrow.
[...] There is no fixed relationship between the price charged by the applicable airline for a seat and the number of points required to redeem a Points Plus Pay - Flight.
[...]
brief UPDATEso the cheapest paying option vs points spend on paid tic vs points spend on rewards tic
$199 Adelaide - Sydney tic was 31,667 but with 30% off is 23,217 LESS points earn 800 with 10SCs (112.6 points per $)
while classic rewards is 12,000 plus $45 with zero SCs (78 points per $) (12,000 / (199-45))
this suggests the larger the cash fare, the preference is classic rewards
on the low priced routes, the points plus pay option with the SCs might tip people into that option.
brief UPDATE
$159 Adelaide - Sydney tic was 26,500 but with 30% off is 18,550 LESS points earn 800 with 10SCs (111.6 points per $)
while classic rewards is 12,000 plus $45 with zero SCs (105 points per $) (12,000 / (159-45))
SO THAT swings these cheaper fares into Points plus pay territory
sureAnother thing to consider though is the flexibility on the ticket. Classic Flight Rewards have much lower change fees and can be easily cancelled for a modest cancellation fee.

Don't think this is targeted - they posted this on Friday in the Qantas Point Hacks group (but posted it too early so I think they took it down), so I'd say it's general.Noticed this under my offers but not sure if it's targeted?
