30K Bonus Velocity Points or 250 Status Credits or $200 Coles Voucher with New Credit Card

My 70,000 points have posted so that's good, however they are listed on my account as "Westpac Platinum Card Base Points" which has me thinking it probably won't trigger the status credits. Just wondering if anyone else signed up for the Westpac Platinum Altitude card and can advise on what their statement shows for the bonus points posting...
I had the Westpac Platinum card last year & received the bonus points as per below on my velocity statement.
From memory it was 75k standard sign up bonus then some limited offer of extra 40k bonus.
Base points clearly the earn /spend points.

I’ve also had issues getting my status credits from this offer. I applied on the very last day per the Velocity terms but Virgin Money had changed the bonus offer on that last day (from bonus points every month for 4 months to every month for 2 months), and it seems I’m getting a ”computer says no” endless cycle.

Notable that it isn’t limited to one bank either…. lesson learned i think

Are people still elegible now to receive 250 status credit if they meet conditions ?
Unlikely, need to have registered and applied by 31 March I believe, most conditions would have needed to be met by now.

Thank you both. There's no mention of acquisition on my statement so I might give it a day or two then send in an email and see what happens. I'm definitely counting on the 250 SC to help with renewal so won't let it go too easily!

Edit: just checked the terms and conditions, it says the benefit will be applied within 30 days of receiving points so I'll wait that time, otherwise I'm sure I know what the answer will be (i.e. wait 30 days!)

Yes - my "auto posting" SC's had "Acquisition" in the bonus points line and my partner (who has had the issues) did not have the word "Acquisition" in there but otherwise same description. I was sure to mention this in the email to Velocity. Still nothing in her inbox in reply from them, however.

Reading the T&C's you (and her) have held up their end of the bargain so curious how they would refuse this.

An update. We stepped off a VA flight last Friday morning and there was a message from Velocity in her inbox stating the SC's should be paid and to give them another week or so to sort it out as the problem gets escalated. Yet to hear back on that front, however.

Good news though is the in-principle agreement that everything is OK from her end. Best of luck to others in the same predicament...

Just called the Velocity call centre again. Fun!
After 20+ minutes back and forward they have apparently "found" this offer and can "confirm you've been approved for 30,000 points" but that it will take "up to another 60 days as per per T&Cs". The T&Cs obviously state 30 days (which has now elapsed) but they simply won't do anything else and I am not convinced that this wasn't simply a line to get me off the phone and call back in 2 months. Any tips in getitng to an Aus-based call crew?
3 calls later, the issue is "escalated to the relevant team" and I will find out in 5 business days. They still seem to have no iodea what this promo is. When asked about which team that was, I was helpfully advised that they were the "relevant team to deal with your escalation".

Just a data point of my experience.
I registered for the promo in March, but didn't end up applying until May for the Amex velocity platinum. The bonus when I applied had reduced to 70k, but I had hope from some other comments in the thread.
I ended up meeting the criteria on the last month and plus some bonus points from an Amazon offer, I would get 75k. I was credited the 70k sign-up bonus and the 5k points in separate transactions, so I was worried it wouldn't count. Luckily, the 250 SCs arrived in my velocity account. Ended up having to take another couple flights to retain gold, but it all worked out.

Final update and good news. She recieved an email this morning apologising and stating that the SC will be credited (albeit after ~8 business days) and lo and behold, the SC were there waiting in the account straight away :)

Fingers crossed for a straightforward resolution for you.

Sorry, who exactly did you contact to get this resolved?

Thanks, trying this now after having to call Velocity back to follow up my "escalation" only to be told to wait another 5 business days because they have nothing to tell me. Ridiculous.
Crazy. I had to call Velocity this morning over a flight delay and it reminded me why I like to deal with these things in writing, sometimes it is very hard to get across a simple point over the phone. Fingers crossed this works out for you - somehow. Sadly there are only team names on the emails so I can't recommend anyone to speak to (via email).

I've had no luck sadly. First I had a response telling me my email address listed was different to what was on file... fine. updated email address. then they keep asking for the documents that show I am entitled to the points.... but can't tell me what documents it is they want to see. 2 weeks between responses each time. Just a total farce.
